Travel back to the legendary, story-telling days of ancient China with this action-packed stage adaptation of Disney’s Mulan.
The Huns have invaded, and it is up to the misfit Mulan and her mischievous sidekick Mushu to save the Emperor! Disney’s MULAN JR. is a heartwarming celebration of culture, honor and a fighting spirit. The score includes favorites like “Reflection,” “Honor to Us All” and “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” as well as new songs that will get you up on your feet! Directed by Amy Michelle Smith and Melissa Leach, this 3 week camp will meet at the John Collins Church, 2320 South Bannock St. from June 4th to June 15th and then move to the 300 seat Eugenia Rawls Theatre on the Auraria campus June 18th to 23rd for technical rehearsals and performances! There will be 3 performances of Mulan, June 22 @ 6 pm and June 23 @ 11 am and 5 pm. All campers will be cast in the production and have speaking lines, and star in the production that features professional costumes, lights and live accompaniment. During a typical camp day, actors have a wide variety of activities, including dancing, singing, acting, stage combat, improvisation and a great time all around!
